INTERNSHIP

Ethos CPA offers entry level accounting internships for candidates who are interested in starting a career in the profession.  We are looking for individuals whose sense of collaboration, self-starting and willingness to learn is an integral part of who they are. Our goal is to provide exposure to various services we provide to small business owners, including bookkeeping preparation, accounting review and various tax matters

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or on-track to complete degree
• Relevant experience that can be utilized to build skills
• Understanding of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office programs
• Committed to the Cleveland area

Responsibilities:

• Perform bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and periodic filings for assigned clients using both desktop and online versions of QuickBooks
• Recording adjusting journal entries Identifying and tracking intercompany transactions
• Periodic filings such Sales Tax, payroll and other state-specific filings
• Preliminary tax return input

• Effective and direct professional communication skills to interact with team members
• Strong knowledge of accounting concepts
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Highly organized and methodized in workflow
• Works well in a dynamic small team environment, as well as independently to complete assigned tasks on time
• Willingness to learn and grow in accounting, professional, and personal skills
